Real letters, from a world that still sends them

Every month, a letter sealed in wax arrives at your door, addressed by hand to one person. A different theme each time, chosen and illustrated by one person.

How it works

Three steps, once a month

A new world appears

Themes open on the 25th of the month before. Look at the artwork, read what is inside, decide whether it is for you.

Neha prepares it

The letter is written and illustrated for the theme, then addressed by hand and sealed in wax. No template, no mailing list, no two envelopes alike.

It lands in your postbox

Sent by registered post, so it can be traced all the way. A thing you can hold, in a world that has stopped sending things.

Letters already posted

Each month is a fresh world, and the ones before still stand. Click through for the artwork, the story, and what arrived inside.

Longer journeys

You do not know what next month’s theme is. That is the point.

Themes are revealed one at a time. A plan buys the next few letters before they have names, at less than you would pay for each separately.

About Neha

Fairy Mail Club began because a postbox is worth checking. Every letter is written and put together at a desk in Colombo, and every envelope is addressed by hand and sealed in wax before it goes. There is no mailing list you will be sold to. There is one person, writing to another.

Questions we are asked

A letter, sealed in wax, sent by registered post to an envelope addressed by hand. Each one also carries the small extras its theme calls for — a sticker sheet, a pressed flower, a map — and the theme page lists exactly what is inside this month.
Readers from around six upwards. Younger children tend to have the letter read aloud; older ones keep them. There is no upper limit — plenty of adults order Fairy Mail for themselves.
On the 25th of the month before. Each theme then stays open for a few weeks, then closes while the letters are written and posted. If you take a plan, you are buying the next few letters before their themes have names.
Yes. Each delivery address carries its own recipient’s name, and a theme page lets you order more than one copy of the same issue. Every envelope arrives addressed to whoever it is for.
Every letter goes by registered post, so it can be traced. If one goes missing, message us within thirty days of its dispatch and we will follow it up with the post office.
